October is missions month at Rehoboth, and we can all be a part of the mission to share the good news of Jesus! In Acts 1:8, we read, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." This month as we focus on missions locally and globally, look for ways to get involved. All of us can pray, most of us can give, some of us can go!
October 3, 9:30 am: Guest speaker--Debbi Gischia, Hands for Haiti
October 10, 8:30 am: Breakfast is served! Join us for a free pancake breakfast.
October 10, 4 pm: All Church Prayer Gathering
October 17, 9:30 am: guest speaker, Mark Bosscher, SIM
Will you join us in praying for local and global missions this month? Here is a short prayer guide:
September 26-October 3: pray for Hands for Haiti, breaking the cycle of poverty in Tremessee, Haiti, by providing education, nutrition, and basic healthcare for children, and clean water for the village in a faith based environment. This community is one of the poorest of the poor in rural Northern Haiti.
October 4-10: pray for local missions and the people being the hands and feet of Jesus.
Pray for Friends Ministry, who is serving those living in poverty in Wexford and Missaukee Counties.
Pray for New Hope Shelter, who is extending love and hope to our community's homeless population.
October 11-17: Pray for Mark and Jodi Bosscher and their positions with SIM. SIM is a century-old organization that brings good news to hard places because there are people living and dying without the gospel. SIM has 4000+ workers from 65 different nations responding to need, proclaiming the gospel, and equipping the church in over 70 countries worldwide.
October 18-24: pray for all of the people who participated in the missions conference this year, from those who attended the breakfast, to those who heard from speakers, to those who made new commitments in their life. Pray that each one would have a deeper understanding of God's call on their life!
