Missions Conference
October is missions month at Rehoboth, and we can all be a part of the mission to share the good news of Jesus! In Acts 1:8, we read, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." This month as we focus on missions locally and globally, look for ways to get involved. All of us can pray, most of us can give, some of us can go!
Conference Events
October 2, 8:30 am: Breakfast is served! Join us for a free pancake breakfast.
October 2, 9:30 am: Guest speaker, Kaylene Whitaker, Safe Families
October 9, 9:30 am: Guest speaker, Mike Wissink, Ferris State University campus ministry
October 16, 9:30 am: guest speaker, Mark and Jennifer LaChonce
Pray
Will you join us in praying for local and global missions this month? Here is a short prayer guide:
September 25-October 2: pray for Kaylene Whitaker, the Northern Michigan coordinator for Safe Families, a Bethany Christian Services program. Volunteers through Safe Families help families facing a crisis by being a part of a supportive community for parents as they strive to overcome poverty, homelessness, health issues, job loss, or other obstacles.
October 3-9: Pray for Pastor Mike Wissink as he ministers to Ferris State University students and athletes on campus and through mission trips and retreats. Pray that God would continue to bless his presence in the lives of these young people.
October 10-16: Pray for Mark and Jennifer LaChonce and their children as they minister in the Chicago area and seek God's will for their next steps.
October 18-24: pray for all of the people who participated in the missions conference this year, from those who attended the breakfast, to those who heard from speakers, to those who made new commitments in their life. Pray that each one would have a deeper understanding of God's call on their life!
